MTC to pay more to State Government than it receives

The tax burden is hampering the Melbourne Theatre Company (MTC) in its financial results despite excellent ticket sales.

Results just released show in the first year of Artistic Director Brett Sheehy’s programming the company generated the highest box office in its 60-year history.
