The Managing Director of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO), Sophie Galaise, has left the organisation following recent controversy. Her departure from the MSO is effective immediately.

The news comes after the Orchestra’s members announced, via a letter to the Board, a vote of “no confidence” in the MSO’s senior management. The musicians also called on Galaise, as well as Chief Operating Officer Guy Ross, to resign.
