Judith Wright Arts Centre reopens after $3.1m refurbishment

First opened in 2001, the new refurbished multi-arts centre in Fortitude Valley re-opened in Fortitude Valley last Friday.

Home to some of Queensland’s most significant arts organisations, including BlakDance, Circa, Artour, the Australasian Dance Company and the Institute of Modern Art, the Judith Wright Arts Centre has officially reopened after a $3.1 million refurbishment.

Located in the inner city Brisbane suburb of Fortitude Valley, and named after poet Judith Wright, who called Brisbane home for over 30 years, the newly renovated centre features new shop fronts, office space, rehearsal and performance areas.
