Indigenous arts policy revamped

The Federal Government has released a new streamlined funding process worth $28.3 million to support and strengthen Indigenous culture, languages and visual arts.

Arts Minister Simon Crean has revealed a new streamlined funding process for Indigenous culture, languages and visual arts at the launch of Yiwarra Kuju: The Canning Stock Route – an exhibition that coincides with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Perth.

A new Indigenous Repatriation Policy was also announced by Mr Crean, who said the competitive funding round of $28.3 million would open this week.
