Hiromi Tango gets 12 months at MCA

The MCA commissioned Hiromi Tango to make a safe space all year in its Bella Room for learners with an intellectual disability.

Sydney-based artist Hiromi Tango has been awarded the 2013 Bella Room commission in the National Centre for Creative Learning (NCCL) at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA). The Bella Room is a dedicated, interactive space for people with specific learning needs. In this, the second year of the commission, the safe art space has been created for learners with an intellectual disability.
