Greens pitch artist’s wage (again)

10,000 artists and arts workers could receive nearly $800 a week for one year based off the Greens' latest pledge.

The Greens announced on 7 May a funding program titled the Artist’s Wage which proposes to supplement up to 10,000 artists and arts workers a living wage for one year.

Part of a $277.5 million funding package and the Greens’ arts policy, the program would see artists receiving $772.60 per week to pursue their creative work.
