Australian Greens Leader Senator Christine Milne is warning creative communities of the dire future an Abbott government holds in store for the arts.

 

Milne described the scrapping of the $244,000 Premier’s Literary awards and the massive slashes to the arts budget in Queensland by Liberal Premier Campbell Newman as foreshadowing the treatment the arts sector would receive under the prospective Tony Abbott Liberal Federal Government.
