Election clash won’t impact on Brisbane Festival

The Prime Minister’s announcement that the federal election will now be held on 7 September means it coincides with the festival’s opening celebrations.

However, Brisbane Festival Artistic Director Noel Staunton is of the view that the election will encourage celebration, rather than overshadow his Brisbane Festival program.
