Diverse women makers expand the scope of woodwork

United by a passion for the practice, an exhibition at Sturt Gallery presents 28 inspiring women makers.

28 extraordinary makers are setting a blazing trail for women in fine furniture making and design at Sturt Gallery with the exhibition Beyond Ordinary: Contemporary Women Makers.

The diverse participants hail from different paths of life, united by their shared passion for the hands on creative practice.

Melbourne based Vivienne Wong, former member of the Australian Ballet said pursuing her passion in wood making has opened up many possibilities.
