An international fellowship has been awarded to a Queensland high-school design teacher to foster the exchange of knowledge.

Terry Deen has won the 2014 Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt Fellowship and will temporarily swap Kelvin Grove State College for the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.

Queensland’s Minister for Science, Information Technology, Innovation and Art, the Hon. Ian Walker said the $19,000 Fellowship was ‘a great opportunity for one of our brightest teachers to gain invaluable experience in delivering quality design education’.
