Classical music to strengthen regional ties

The heads of 11 elite tertiary music schools from across the Asia Pacific region are meeting in Sydney this week.

Senior staff from institutions in China, Singapore, California, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan are meeting with their counterparts from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music at the University of Sydney, and the Victorian College of the Arts/Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, as well as the School of Music at the University of Auckland, at the inaugural Asia Pacific Music Summit.
