For the first time, online voting features as part of the Australian Festival of Chamber Music (AFCM) program, allowing the public can choose their favourite songs to be played by the Goldner String and New Zealand String Quartets, in a concert titled Forgotten String Quartets.

Another new event is the ‘Concert Crawl’, which allows guests to tour Townsville, tasting a range of different music, wine and canapés at three venues in one night.

From 1 August to 9 August 2014, a series of concerts and events will be held Townsville for the AFCM, but the festival will also be making its Palm Island debut this year.
