A global audience last week tuned in to watch a unique live stream from the rehearsal rooms of The Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, The Royal Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada and San Francisco Ballet.

World Ballet Day on Wednesday 1 October saw audiences connecting across social media channels in unprecedented numbers. Across the five companies’ YouTube channels, a total of 195,430 live plays were recorded over the initial 20 hours; these figures are expected to increase exponentially as viewers continue to watch the footage over the coming days.
