Arts NSW axes Short+Sweet Regional funding

Short+Sweet Productions Australia Ltd suspends operations after a 'serious breach' of its funding agreement.

Arts NSW has terminated its contract with Short+Sweet Productions Australia Ltd (SSPL) after funding earmarked for a regional theatre program was allegedly spent outside the state.

A subsidiary company of Short+Sweet, SSPL was contracted by Arts NSW to deliver the Short+Sweet Regional Program in NSW from 2011–2014. That contract was terminated on Monday, 30 September following what Arts NSW has described in a statement as ‘a serious breach of the funding agreement’.
