A vote for books and publishing

Book Create Australia, a cohort of book industries, unite to present seven policy recommendations for the new or returned government post election.

The book industry has waded into election lobbying, thanks to a cohort representing the shared interests of Australia’s publishers, booksellers, authors and librarians under the rubric of Books Create Australia.

A new or returned government should develop a national plan for Literature, Books and Reading, the members of Books Create Australia believe. They have advanced seven policy recommendations to support reading and writers in the lead-up to the election.
