How to grow a small to medium arts organisation

Artspace proves that taking the longer road pays off, literally, when growing a small arts organisation.

‘This is a really good thing,’ stated Alexie Glass-Kantor, Executive Director, Artspace. ‘It’s really been led by us independently.’ What she is speaking about is organisational growth.

One of the challenges that small to medium (S2M) arts organisations face, when being held back in their capacity to grow, is the way they straddle various tiers of government funding (and the bureaucratic shackles that can come with that), as well as the limitations of existing infrastructure.
