It might seem strange and yet it often happens that people apply for positions in organisations, even highly prominent arts organisations, without being interested in what those organisations do. Of course, it’s usually not an essential prerequisite but it certainly helps.
If you are going to work in a gallery it’s a good thing to have an interest in art and if you want to get a job at a particular theatre company you should go to at least one of their recent productions.
