There’s a reason that most people hate public speaking. Being the centre of attention is difficult because it invites scrutiny from our audience. This sense of exposure makes us vulnerable because it stems from self-doubt, the notion that we’re either unprepared or we’ll be found out to not know exactly what we’re talking about. Sometimes, you get the feeling in your workplace, or life in general, that you’re somehow faking it.
