10 words not to use this year

Some words just got overdone in 2016. It's time to let these overused terms lie fallow for a while, in the hope they may regain some punch.

It is no secret that the art world is driven by trends. That also extends to the language we use. Of course fashion has its place in capturing the zeitgeist but once a word is overused, it’s time to look elsewhere for impact.

These are the words that got a little too much traction in 2016.
