Australia Council delivers $6.3 million to Australian artists
Female artists lead the way in the latest Australia Council grants, with female artists receiving more than half the project funding in the latest grant round.

The Australia Council for the Arts has announced today (11 September), the outcomes of its latest round of project and career development grants.
It will deliver $6.3 million in support to 204 diverse and ambitious projects from individual artists, groups and small to medium organisations. Of those, a significant number have been awarded to female artists.
Gina Fairley is ArtsHub's Senior Contributor, after 12 years in the role as National Visual Arts Editor. She has worked for extended periods in America and Southeast Asia, as gallerist, arts administrator and regional contributing editor for a number of magazines, including Hong Kong based Asian Art News and World Sculpture News. She is an Art Tour leader for the AGNSW Members, and lectures regularly on the state of the arts. She is based in Mittagong, regional NSW.
