Highs and Lows of 2011 TV

It was easy to tell that this was the last week of television ratings for the year – what with the finale of Spicks and Specks, the finale of Junior Masterchef on Ten and the final episode in the highly successful BBC wildlife series Frozen Planet all being run against each other on Wednesday night. Given this Saturday, 26 November is the final day for ratings and marks the beginning of the strange summer world of non-ratings TV we thought we’d have a look back at the year that was on the box.

Some of the Highs
‘I was thinking about this the other night actually,’ says media writer and author of Broadcast Wars, Michael Bodey. ‘I think the Logies – sounds awful to say that I was actually thinking about the Logies – but the acting is going to be really competitive this year.’
