Griffin Theatre Company is looking for a motivated Relationship Manager to help manage and cultivate relationships with its donors and partners

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Relationship Manager

Reporting to: Head of Development

Base Salary: $65,000-$75,000 plus superannuation

Griffin Theatre Company is Australia’s only theatre company solely dedicated to developing and staging Australian plays. Founded in 1979, we are one of the great engine rooms of Australian theatre. We have shaped and platformed the narratives that help us know who we are as a nation, where we’ve been and who we want to become.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Griffin’s Relationship Manager is a motivated and dedicated individual, working closely with the Head of Development to help manage and cultivate relationships with Griffin’s current donors, actively seek new donors, and secure cash or in-kind support through partnerships. The position also leads and executes a range of related development events. The successful candidate will be an organised, positive and skilled individual who above all else, has a passion for Australian Theatre and the arts industry.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and the ability to liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders with knowledge, respect and interest
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and project management skills
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to learn new programs and platforms
  • Well-developed interpersonal, patron service and negotiation skills
  • Discretion, empathy and judgement in dealing with sensitive information
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work autonomously, creatively problem solve and deliver within competing priorities
  • Willingness to take direction and work as part of a team
  • A passion for the performing arts, particularly in an Australian context
