Your role

You will lead the development and delivery of Australia at the Venice Biennale Art and Architecture projects and visual arts programs aligned to our strategic priorities. You are a seasoned program manager, with deep knowledge and understanding of the visual art sector, someone who can confidently balance strategy, budgets and stakeholders while turning big picture vision into tangible outcomes. This includes:

Project management

Overseeing the operational management of the Venice Arts and Architecture projects including budgeting, procurement, and management of contractors.

Leadership

Providing expert guidance through a curatorial framework to shape research, development, delivery and evaluation of the Venice art exhibition.

Stakeholder Management

Overseeing the professional development and sector engagement programs and managing partnerships with state and territory governments and other key stakeholders.

Program Design

Designing and managing Visual Arts programs in response to evolving organisational priorities.

Risk Management

Developing and implementing strategies to manage risks and champion best practices to contribute to the sustainability and success of the Venice projects and Visual Arts programs.

Research and Reporting

Managing research and analysis associated to the Venice projects and Visual Arts programs to support the development of reports, proposals and strategic documents.

Communications and Engagement

Collaborating with the communications team to provide subject matter expertise on the Venice projects and Visual Arts programs to ensure that key stakeholders and audiences are engaged.

  • Salary of $110,812 per annum + 12% superannuation
