The Program Lead, Exhibition Programs creates and delivers innovative public programs and events that amplify the Library’s exhibitions and foster meaningful engagement with adult and stakeholder audiences. These programs are designed to align with the Library’s vision, mission, and business objectives, and expand its reach and impact for audiences. 

The Program Lead, Exhibition Programs is accountable for the following measurable outcomes: 

  • Delivering exceptional public programs and events
  • Ensuring robust long-lead planning 
  • Optimising team and resource management
  • Driving data-informed improvement
  • Fostering collaborative innovation
  • Cultivating a culture of agility and excellence

 About You

The ideal candidate has strategic planning strengths that ensure day to day planning and work processes are in line with team, Branch, and State Library Victoria strategy.  Your fluency with agile project management processes enables you to execute and deliver programs and projects with impact and at scale. You successfully manage budgets, procurement and contracting processes and other administrative systems that enable performance reporting. This underpins your ability to correlate data for continuous improvement and drives your engagement in innovation.

In addition, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering exceptional public programs and events that maximise audience engagement and achieve business objectives. 
  • Experience in designing and implementing agile project management processes, specifically in the context of exhibition-aligned public programs or a similar cultural/educational context. 
  • A track record of observing and implementing measures of continuous improvement to assist the development of diverse income streams through innovative experiences and programs. 
  • A solid track record of developing and fostering successful collaborations and relationships with a range of stakeholders in the context of long lead programs.
