Held annually in October, Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW) is Australia’s foremost games festival, encompassing a range of public activities, showcases, business development events, conferences, and education opportunities. Running since 2015 and now managed by ACMI, MIGW connects Australia’s games sector with general audiences and international peers to celebrate the potential of games and the people who make them.

About the role

Join ACMI as our MIGW Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of all marketing and communications for MIGW. This includes audience development and content creation through to paid media, partnerships, PR, and stakeholder engagement. As the subject matter expert for gaming audiences the role also leads marketing, and communications for all of ACMI’s gaming programs year-round to sustain active engagement outside the MIGW event cycle. This is a new full-time fixed term role until December 2027, reporting to the Director of Brand & Marketing and Head of MIGW.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Knowledge of current video games industry landscape, expertise in marketing, communications and or social media for a cultural, tourism or arts organisation/agency with strong experience developing and delivering marketing and communication plans.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging, platform-specific content across major social media channels (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and YouTube) to grow audience reach, engagement and subscribers in the videogames sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to monitor social media performance, interpret data and campaign metrics, and translate insights into actionable improvements and stakeholder reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills with a track record of successful project management.

  • Full-time fixed term role until December 2027. Grade 4 role with a starting salary of $97,955 plus super.
