Executive Director, Screen Development

Provide strategic oversight and ensures cohesive delivery of NSW’s screen development priorities, with a focus on investment and infrastructure.

About the role:

Reporting to the Secretary, the Executive Director, Screen Development provides strategic oversight and ensures cohesive delivery of NSW’s screen development priorities, with a focus on investment and infrastructure. The role provides executive leadership to the Head of Screen NSW and the Program Director, Infrastructure, aligning their work with government priorities and ensuring NSW’s screen development agenda is delivered with impact.

You will shape investment strategies that attract significant domestic and international production, guide the planning and delivery of major screen infrastructure projects, and build strong partnerships across government, industry, and markets to strengthen NSW’s competitiveness and position the state as a leading destination for screen production and creative excellence.

About you:

You are a recognised and credible leader in the sector, experienced in shaping strategic direction, attracting investment, and building high-level partnerships across government, industry, and stakeholders. You have a strong track record in managing domestic and international investment and overseeing complex, high-value infrastructure projects, with deep understanding of production, funding models, market trends, and emerging technologies.

You have proven experience at the interface of government and industry, navigating policy, regulatory, and funding environments, and advising on decisions that deliver economic, cultural, and community outcomes. You provide strategic insight to influence senior decision-makers and drive investment and infrastructure priorities that strengthen NSW’s competitiveness and screen sector outcomes.
