Young Adelaide Voices (YAV) is a not-for-profit youth choral organisation inspiring young people through high-quality musical experiences, performance and community connection. We are seeking an organised, values-driven Business Manager to provide operational and strategic leadership and support YAV’s continued sustainability and growth.
About the Role
Working closely with the Artistic Director and leadership team, the Business Manager oversees business operations, administration, finance coordination, communications and governance. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys balancing strategy with day-to-day delivery in a creative, community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee office administration, systems, compliance and governance
- Coordinate communications with choir families and the wider YAV community
- Support strategic planning, fundraising, donor relations and funding acquittals
- Manage contracts, invoicing, membership records and budget development
- Oversee marketing, promotions and recruitment activities
- Coordinate operational planning for concerts, camps and tours
- Prepare Board papers, reports and meeting documentation
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience in administration or business operations
- Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Desirable:
- Experience in not-for-profit or membership-based organisations
- Financial or bookkeeping knowledge
- Arts, education, events or community sector experience
