Artist Engagement Coordinator (Full Time, 12 Month Fixed Term)
Melbourne Theatre Company is seeking a proactive and detail driven Artist Engagement Coordinator to support the delivery of our artistic program.
Melbourne Theatre Company is seeking a proactive and detail driven Artist Engagement Coordinator to support the delivery of our artistic program and ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for the many artists who work with us throughout the year. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys arts administration, supporting and working with artistic teams, thrives on clear communication, and is excited by the day-to-day activity of a busy creative environment.
Working closely with the Casting Director, you will assist with the essential operations of the Casting Office, including preparing deal memos and contracts, managing artist records, scheduling auditions and supporting communication with artists, agents and internal teams. You will also collaborate with departments such as New Work, Producing, Education and Production to help ensure our artist engagement processes remain consistent, efficient and aligned with the Company’s artistic goals.
You will bring strong administration skills, confidence in building positive relationships, and a calm and organised approach to juggling competing priorities. You’ll be quick to pick up new database and contracting systems and processes, with existing knowledge of the PCA considered an advantage, and you’ll be confident coordinating information across departments in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine interest in theatre and the artist experience will help you succeed in this highly collaborative and rewarding role.
If you enjoy coordinating people and information and want to contribute to the work of Australia’s leading theatre company, we would love to receive your application.
