Every story matters yet how do editors best guide authors on what to put in and what to leave out?
Join us for an interactive 2 hour workshop with Susan Pierotti as we delve into the world of editing life stories and guiding authors on their journey when developing and publishing their life story.
Presenter
Susan Pierotti is an Accredited Editor with the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd) and is Secretary of Life Stories Australia. Her first big break in editing was working on the life story of a retired actress, which was shortlisted for the inaugural Rosanne Fitzgibbon Award.
She has recorded, written and edited numerous life stories for over ten years. She has given sell-out workshops on life story telling at the Clunes Booktown Festival and her U3A workshops assisting people to tell their own life stories are always well attended.
Susan believes passionately that, in this digital age, we need to preserve our humanity by telling stories – and that no one’s story is boring!
