Wollombi Valley Sculpture Festival
Set against the rolling hills, vineyards and historic charm of the Wollombi Valley in the Lower Hunter, this remarkable sculpture event invites visitors to slow down, wander and see the region through the eyes of more than 180 leading and emerging Australian and international sculptors.
The journey unfolds along a sculpture trail that meanders through the villages and surrounding countryside, where monumental and intimate works sit in conversation with the natural environment. Six galleries housed within heritage buildings add another layer of discovery, showcasing an inspiring collection of contemporary sculpture. For those looking to take a piece of the experience home, the works are available to purchase.
Beyond the artworks, the event celebrates the creative spirit of the region. Meet the artists through talks and guided tours, take part in hands-on workshops, enjoy live music and community gatherings, and indulge in the area’s celebrated food, wine and local hospitality.
Just under two hours from Sydney and 90 minutes from Newcastle, it’s an enriching escape where art, nature and country hospitality come together in unforgettable ways.
