Nguramban-dhi is a collection by First Nations fashion label Corella & Crow, founded by designers Rechelle Turner and Megan Daley. The works presented in this exhibition were originally created for the 2025 runway of Country to Couture and are shared here at Belco Arts as part of an ongoing conversation between fashion, Country and community.

The word Ngurambang speaks to Country, place and belonging. The addition of -dhi holds the sense of being with, of relating and moving in connection. Together, Nguramban-dhi reflects the idea of being with Country and carrying those relationships through our creative practice.

This collection brings together slow fashion processes, upcycled textiles and hand-worked surfaces that honour the stories and materials that shape each garment. Through dyeing, mark-making, layering and reconstruction, the works speak to cycles of renewal and care for the environments that sustain us. Each piece holds traces of time, labour and relationship.

For Corella & Crow, fashion is not simply about clothing. It is a way of sharing story, expressing cultural continuity and demonstrating responsibility to Country. The garments move between runway, exhibition space and community contexts, reminding us that cultural practice is living, evolving and grounded in place.

Presented here in Canberra, the collection returns to Ngunnawal Country and invites audiences to slow down, look closely and consider the relationships between land, materials, culture and design. Through Nguramban-dhi, Corella & Crow continues to explore fashion as cultural expression, sustainability in practice and an ongoing obligation to Country.
