Award-winning Dutch documentary Human Forever challenges how we think about dementia.
24-year-old humanitarian activist and author Teun Toebes has a mission: to improve the quality of life of people living with dementia. He has been living in the closed ward of a Dutch nursing home for years when he decides to take this mission to the next level.
In a three-year journey across four continents and 11 countries, Teun and filmmaker Jonathan de Jong take on a disarming and eye-opening quest around the world, exploring how dementia is dealt with in other countries, and what we can learn from each other to rethink the future of care.
The film will be introduced and followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers Jonathan de Jong and Teun Toebes.
Presented with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Australia.
