Not many have had such a vast and varied music career as George Washingmachine. As a child he trained for seven years as a classical violinist then left the classical world behind to form a rhythm and blues band as guitarist. Moving to 1984 he moved to Sydney and started playing jazz fiddle with The Conway Brothers Hiccup Orchestra. He has worked in television, theatre & film. He has worked with artists such as Mic & Jim Conway, Tim Freedman from The Whitlams, John Waters and many International artists.
Joining George is his musical partner Clare O’Meara. A child of a world concert pianist, Clare grew up with a fiddle in her hand from the time she was 3 years old. She is a multi-instrumentalist/songwriter and artist in her own right and brings fiddle, piano accordion and harmonies to the line-up. She has toured and recorded with virtually all Australian contemporary music artists and bands, both nationally and internationally (too many to include in this bio) including appearances at every major music festival and many TV appearances. In 2018 she was awarded Musician Of The Year by the Country Music Association Of Australia.
