Entries are now open for the 2026 Pro Hart Outback Art Prize, Broken Hill City Art Gallery’s largest and most anticipated exhibition of the year.
Open to artists across Australia and in any medium, the national acquisitive art prize invites artists to submit artworks reflecting the spirit, landscapes and stories of the Australian outback, continuing Broken Hill’s long tradition as one of Australia’s most significant regional centres for art.
The prize carries a total prize pool of $23,000, including a $20,000 acquisitive First Prize, with the winning work becoming part of the Broken Hill City Art Gallery’s nationally recognised permanent collection.
Selected finalists will be exhibited at Broken Hill City Art Gallery from 31 July to 25 October 2026.
