The term curator was somewhat illusive in the past – a respected staffer who commanded the hallowed halls of a museum, their encyclopedic knowledge impressive… and envied.

But today the term is applied to anything from curating content on your social media channel or a website, to the shoe department of a big chain that “curates” a new line for the upcoming season.
