What exactly is the public domain? The answer is complex and covers a diverse array of spaces including urban spaces and social media; casting a wide berth over our society as a whole.

The public domain, as a result of its various historial, theorical, and geo-political roots is therefore often used as a political forum. This notion will be explored at the 13th Istanbul Biennial, under the title ‘Mom, Am I Barbarian?’
