Arts streaming with competitive edge

Sydney Opera House’s Stream aims to be the streaming platform to integrate arts into the everyday.

Launched by the Sydney Opera House in April this year, digital platform Stream has an ambition to become the Netflix for Australian performing arts. Stream’s digital offerings expand monthly, with a range of blockbuster shows from the House’s archives, performances filmed live at the iconic venue and digital artworks tailored for a new virtual age.

Sydney Opera House Head of Digital Programming Stuart Buchanan told ArtsHub that the platform is not only a response to the growing demand for digital content, but places its focus on integrating the arts into everyday streaming experiences.
