Introducing Amrit Gill, incoming CEO of 4A Gallery
Coming from the Australia Council, where she was Director, International Development, Gill has plenty to offer 4A when it comes to exchange, funding, fresh models and grit.

In February, Amrit Gill will step into the role of Artistic Director/CEO at Sydney’s 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art. She comes to the position from the Australia Council for the Arts, where she has held the role of Director, International Development, since 2017.
With over 15 years’ experience across producing, programming, strategy, international relations, community development and social enterprise, ArtsHub was keen to catch up with Gill, and learn about her vision for the celebrated Sydney organisation.
Gina Fairley is ArtsHub's Senior Contributor, after 12 years in the role as National Visual Arts Editor. She has worked for extended periods in America and Southeast Asia, as gallerist, arts administrator and regional contributing editor for a number of magazines, including Hong Kong based Asian Art News and World Sculpture News. She is an Art Tour leader for the AGNSW Members, and lectures regularly on the state of the arts. She is based in Mittagong, regional NSW.
