Co-Artistic Directors announced for reimagined Melbourne International Arts Festival

Choreographer and director Gideon Obarzanek and artist, curator and festival director Hannah Fox will jointly lead the new-look festival following its merger with White Night.

Following the recent announcement that Melbourne International Arts Festival (MIAF) will merge with White Night from 2020, tradition continues to be upended with the announcement on Wednesday (3 July) that the new-look festival will have co-Artistic Directors for the first time in its 34-year history.

Richard Watts is ArtsHub's National Performing Arts Editor; he also presents the weekly program SmartArts on Three Triple R FM, and serves as the Chair of La Mama Theatre's volunteer Committee of Management.
