The Homiens Art Prize is a premier international opportunity for artists awarding over $12,000 USD in unrestricted funding annually. Designed to be an outstanding catalyst for professional growth, this non-acquisitive prize ensures that artists retain full ownership of their work. Whether you are an emerging artist looking for a career launchpad or an established professional seeking industry recognition, this merit-based and prestigious award offers a global platform to showcase your talent.

  • Eligibility: Open to all art forms and artists internationally. Works completed in any year are eligible.
  • Prizes: 10 winning artists will exhibit with Homiens as part of their quarterly exhibition program. Each winning artist receives an unrestricted cash award of $300 USD, may participate in their optional artist interview series The Art of Art: Interviews, and may request a letter of recommendation from the jurors. Each round, up to 200 highly commended artists are celebrated across their media (including the Homiens website which receives 100,000+ annual visitors, and their extensive mailing list). Each entrant to the Homiens Art Prize may request a participation certificate which can be used to contribute towards a demonstration of professional artistic engagement.
  • Further Initiatives: The prize additionally offers international visibility via exciting features such as a curated Meet the Artists initiative and Promoted Artists program.
  • Entry Fee: There is a $30 USD fee to enter 1 artwork, and a $20 USD fee to enter each additional artwork thereafter. The 6th & 12th entries are free. In alignment with our belief in a democratic art industry, we offer a limited number of free, with no questions asked, submissions per round. Please note that if this financial accessibility option is no longer visible on our Submittable portal, the allocation for the current round has been exhausted.
