The Paddington Art Prize is a $30,000 Australian National Acquisitive painting prize that encourages the interpretation of the Australian landscape as a significant contemporary genre. The prize was Founded and Principally Sponsored by Marlene Antico OAM in 2004, and in 2023 her son Chris Antico (Artist) took over as Principal Sponsor, ensuring the Paddington Art Prize’s continued growth; beyond its 21st year.

  • COOEE ART LEVEN AWARD -Director Mirri Leven will select two artists from the list of finalists with different, yet complimentary approaches to landscape painting and offer the opportunity for a solo exhibition at Mirri Leven’s Redfern gallery in 2025. The artists will also receive $2,500 each toward the creation of the exhibition.
  • JAMES MAKIN GALLERY AWARD – Director James Makin will give a solo exhibition at the James Makin Gallery, Melbourne, Victoria in either 2025 or 2026 for an artist that is not represented in the state of Victoria and contractually able to exhibit outside their represented galleries (should they have one), selected from the Finalists in the Paddington Art Prize
  • ANTHEA POLSON GALLERY AWARD A 2025/2026 solo exhibition at the Anthea Polson Gallery, Gold Coast, Queensland for two unrepresented artists who are selected as finalists, from director Anthea Polson
  • BECKER MINTY GALLERY AWARD a 2025 solo exhibition at Becker Minty Hobart for an artist that is not represented in Tasmania
  • AL STRETCHERS AWARD $2000 Worth of Aluminium Stretchers sponsored by Alesandro Ljubicic
  • ERAMBOO RESIDENCY GALLERY AWARD two week live-in residency at Eramboo Artist Environment, North Sydney and an opportunity to hold a 10 day self-managed 2025/2026 exhibition
