Inner West Council Arts Grants

Inner West Council funds creative work that strengthens cultural life in the Inner West. We offer two grants: up to $5,000 for individual artists developing their practice, and up to $10,000 for projects that bring arts and culture to Inner West communities.

Grants available

Artist Support Grant
Up to $5,000

For individual artists based in the Inner West who want to develop their creative practice or advance their career.
•    Attending a masterclass, intensive, or short course
•    Working with a mentor over an extended period
•    Undertaking a residency to develop new work
•    Research or creative development that advances your practice
•    Presenting new work to a small audience as part of a development process

Individual practicing artists based in the Inner West LGA

Arts Projects Grant
Up to $10,000

For individual artists, groups of artists, or arts organisations producing or presenting work that benefits the Inner West community.
•    Producing and presenting a new performance, exhibition, or installation
•    Delivering a community arts or cultural program
•    Running a festival, concert series, or public event
•    Creative partnerships and cross-artform collaborations
•    Projects that create paid opportunities for local artists

Who can apply?

Individual artists, groups of artists, or arts organisations. The project must benefit Inner West residents
