The City of Albany AIR program provides visiting artists with the opportunity to develop their practice through self-directed creative projects.
The City of Albany manages the Vancouver Arts Centre, Mary Thomson House Studios and Residency Cottage, the Albany Town Hall and the Albany Public Library.
The AIR program provides visiting artists with the opportunity to:
- develop their practice through self-directed creative projects
- to share skills and exchange knowledge with the Albany creative community
- to develop professional networks within the region
- to contribute to wider community engagement with the arts
- to discover and share the rich Great Southern heritage and environment
- to contribute to raising the profile of Albany as a creative city.
Applications for the Artist in Residence Program 2028 are now open. Applications close 30th November 2026.
