Untapped: The Australian Literary Heritage Project

Bringing lost Aussie classics back to life.

It’s hard to believe but many Australian books across all genres (including memoir, fiction and children’s novels) are now out of print and therefore unavailable to readers (even the early winners of the Miles Franklin Literary Award are inaccessible). Untapped is a project that seeks to bring to the fore these languishing titles that will otherwise disappear from our collective consciousness.

This literary heritage venture ‘is a collaboration between authors, libraries and researchers, working together to identify Australia’s lost literary treasures and bring them back to life.‘
