Screening Tuesday evenings on ABC1, this major three-part television series takes a very different look at what drives our leading contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists to make their art.

It is hosted by Hetti Perkins, daughter of leading activist Charles Perkins and former curator at the Art Gallery of New South Wales for 13 years, who told ArtsHub:A lot of people may be surprised how some of the artists make these quite strident, quite politically activated works but then they are very softly spoken; they are intimate conversations.’
