There won’t be 450 candles or a woman dancing out of a birthday cake but to commemorate Shakespeare’s milestone birthday, six days of Shakespearean activities have been planned around the world.

Bell Shakespeare and Google Australia have partnered to bring 15 minute live performances from some of Shakespeare’s most famous characters on Wednesday 23 April from 6-7pm. There will be appearances by both Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Cleopatra and Richard III, as well as one character Shakespeare did not invent, Shakespeare himself.
