SA budget falls short in its support for the arts, says AICSA

The Arts Industry Council of South Australia has called for ‘ambitious and forward-thinking initiatives’ from government in order to secure a strong future for arts and culture in the state.

The Marshall Government’s 2021-2022 South Australian State Budget, handed down last Tuesday, lacks significant new investment in the arts and cultural sector, according to the Arts Industry Council of South Australia (AICSA).

In response, the AICSA has called on the South Australian Government to commit to ‘new and visionary initiatives’ that support artistic and cultural practice, employment, training and keeping artists living and working in South Australia.
