Pussy Riot plea over child rejected in court

Jailed Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina has had her plea to be released in order to look after her child rejected by the Russian court.

Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina recently appeared in court to plead that her two-year sentenced be deferred so she can look after her five-year-old son until he is 14. Her plea was unsuccessful, as a judge ruled that there were ‘no new circumstances’ to justify that her sentence should be postponed.
