In May 2013, Melbourne artist Paul Yore participated in a group show at Linden Centre for Contemporary Art called Like Mike Now What?? a homage to Australian artist Mike Brown, who was convicted of obscenity in 1966.
Yore’s large colourful collage installation, Everything is Fucked, featuring images of children’s heads collaged onto adult bodies in supposedly sexual acts, generated complaints by Port Philip resident, Adrian Jackson, with contacts to Liberal Cr Andrew Bond who labelled Yore’s work ‘complete smut’.
