DANCEHOUSE TO SEEK NEW ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Angela Conquet, Artistic Director and CEO of Melbourne’s Dancehouse, will move on from her role in April 2020, following the conclusion of the Keir Choreographic Award’s fourth edition.
Conquet was appointed Artistic Director in July 2011 and came to Dancehouse from Paris, where she worked as Artistic Director for Dance at Mains d’Oeuvres Paris – a major multi-arts cultural centre and a pioneer amongst French independent art spaces. She is acknowledged for recognising and supporting dance artists who take creative risks, and for her bold and creative approach to linking artists with performance contexts or new communities.
